Abby Obright '18
Well hello there!
My name is Abby Obright and I am a sophomore Psychology major for Pre-Occupational Therapy. I am from the very small town of Underwood, Minnesota located in the heart of the 10,000 lakes which definitely makes up for the small population and lack of activities. A fun fact about myself is that I am an only child which I have come to realize is not that common around here! I greatly enjoy spending time with my family and friends and I value close-knit relationships which is one of the many reasons why I decided to pursue the Deltas. I pledged Fall of 2015, and it has been by far one of the best decisions I have made at Gustavus. I have met so many wonderful and compassionate girls that not only serve as a support system but also as inspiration. This semester I am taking in the ‘newness’ of the Greek Community, but I plan and look forward to running for leadership positions within the Delta sorority and possibly even IGS within my upcoming semesters. Outside of the Delta’s, I am involved in Big Partner Little Partner, the Crossroads Program, I work in the Admissions Phoning office here at Gustavus, and I work as a CNA/TMA in a nursing home in my hometown (I absolutely love my job)! I am extremely passionate about children who are suffering life-threatening to terminal illnesses, due to family histories, and I plan to dedicate my life in Occupational Therapy to helping those children in remission or who have overcome their illnesses get back on their feet and live the lives children deserve! I am so thankful for the opportunity of being a Delta, the sisters I now have, and what all there is to come! <3 |
