Amanda Koep '16
My name is Amanda Koep and I was born on 10/14/93 @10:14 pm and am currently feelin' twenty-two! (big t swift fan) I have one older brother who I look up to, not only because he's tall, but because he has shaped me to be the person I am today and he is the reason I joined hockey 17 years ago because I wanted to be just like him.
I continued my hockey career after graduating from St.Michael Albertville high school at the University of North Dakota where I was privileged to play for the Fighting Sioux for a year and a half and got into two games as a goaltender and got one assist! :) I then transferred to the wonderful place of Gustavus in need to be closer to home with a less strenuous schedule. I have had numerous internships in broadcast media in hopes to be a sports reporter someday and dream to work for the Minnesota Wild because I am a Minnesota Hockey girl born and raised. My senior year of college, I made the very difficult decision to hang up the skates so that I could focus on my career after graduation and so that I can continue to write my young adult novel. I was overly excited to join Delta Phi for the continued success of BCB, volunteer efforts and authentic and genuine girls we have! My parents are my rocks, the reason for my success and continued work ethic throughout my entire life, I am forever grateful and #blessed that I have two wonderful parents that love each other and I can't wait to be that in love one day with someone, he's out there somewhere... ;) That pretty much sums me up, I LOVE hockey, my family, writing and OH YEAH my favorite land animal is a horse and my favorite aquatic animal is a dolphin, because any animal you can ride on is pretty sweet to me!!
